Dr. Lin is more than a skilled surgeon — he's a partner in your transformation. Board-certified in general and minimally invasive surgery, he has dedicated his career to helping patients achieve lasting, meaningful weight loss through safe, advanced surgical techniques and a care approach that puts you at the center of every decision.
Dr. Lin's training is among the most distinguished in his field. He earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and completed fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery at Harvard Medical School's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He later helped establish the National Capital Area Bariatric Surgery Program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center — building a program from the ground up that would serve thousands of patients for years to come.
As a retired U.S. Navy Captain with over 22 years of surgical experience, Dr. Lin brings a rare combination of precision, discipline, and deep compassion to civilian practice. He serves as Co-Chair of the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee with the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and was personally invited to participate in two committees with the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) — placing him among the most respected voices shaping the future of weight-loss surgery in the country.
